Mammoth Pacific:
An Important Community Partner

The Mammoth Jazz Jubilee presents "Hot Jazz in the Cool Sierra Festival" each summer with the support of local sponsors such as  Mammoth Pacific.

At Mammoth Pacific, we know what a privilege it is to live and work here in the Eastern Sierra. We are dedicated to supporting our community, protecting our natural resources, and working to keep Mammoth a wonderful place to live and visit.

Boosting Our Local Economy

As one of the largest employers in Mono County, Mammoth Pacific plays an important role in the local economy. Mammoth Pacific is also one of the largest property tax payers in the county. Further, we pay royalties to the federal government for our leased lands. A portion of these royalty payments is returned to Mono County’s general fund and used to support vital county services. One example of a community project built with revenues from Mammoth Pacific is the Crowley Lake Community Center.

In addition, we are committed to buying locally. We purchase more than $100,000 in goods and services from local businesses each year which helps the community’s economic vitality.

Community Involvement

Mammoth Pacific is committed to supporting our quality of life here in the Eastern Sierra. We recognize the importance of protecting our unique natural resources, but also the value of participating in the community.

Mammoth Pacific has been an ongoing sponsor of the annual Jazz Jubilee festival, which attracts thousands of visitors to the Mammoth area each July. We have also supported various smaller, local fundraising efforts benefiting worthy community groups or programs such as Mammoth Hospital, Christmas Spirit Dinner, and the Mammoth Ski Education Foundation.

And when the Eastern Sierra Advocates Network asked us to assist with a project to re-paint and plant trees to hide a local “eyesore”, Mammoth Pacific employees were there to help. We also volunteered to provide irrigation that would allow the trees to take root in the critical first year.

At Mammoth Pacific, we encourage our employees to be active in the community, and are proud of their diverse volunteer efforts—whether it be as a Fire Department volunteer, coaching youth sports, supporting school programs, or whatever way they choose to support our local community.

Investing in Our Kids and Our Schools

Mammoth Pacific recognizes the importance of our youth, and proudly supports a variety of programs targeted at our kids, the schools, and youth sports programs. Our support has included activities such as:

  • Providing a total of $10,000 for Mammoth Middle School’s computer lab, enabling students to utilize state-of-the-art computer equipment for computer training.

  • Donating a refurbished computer to the 4th grade at the elementary school, allowing for better internet access in the classroom.

  • Supporting various fundraising efforts for sports teams and the cheerleaders.

  • Sponsoring the new concession stand at Mammoth High School’s football stadium, which not only helps make games more enjoyable for spectators, but it raises money for the Mammoth Boosters and their school programs.

  • Offering an annual $1,000 scholarship to enable some of Mammoth’s outstanding students to attend college.

  • Serving as a Founding Member of the Cerro Coso Community College in Mammoth Lakes.

At Mammoth Pacific, we believe that community partnerships are vital to protecting our quality of life in Mammoth and the Eastern Sierra for generations to come.
